Open Distance-Learning Programs for Specialist Certificates (life-long learning program)
Project leader : TELECOM & Management SudParis , TELECOM Bretagne
TELECOM & Management SudParis has had an open distance-learning platform in place since 2004 to enable its life-long learning program students, and in particular those enrolled on specialist certificate courses,
CES (specialist certificate) courses are industry-focused qualifying programs which last around 6 months and make broad use of open distance-learning tools.
They enable employees to remain in their companies whilst undertaking the training, which in turn allows them to evolve.
The principle of these training programs is based around alternating in-class work (3 or 4 days a month at TELECOM & Management SudParis) and individual distance work.
The platform used at TELECOM & Management SudParis s'appelle TELJE and was developed by A6 (an Essonne-based company specializing in FOAD).
TELECOM Bretagne has implemented the distance learning platform ( Moodle ) with the same block-release life-long learning objectives. The CES: Actuarial Techniques uses this system.
