Invocom European project (Lessons + online practical work)

Description :

Within the context of the European Leonardo da Vinci program, TELECOM Bretagne is involved in placing online teaching programs in the field of telecoms.

With the special participation of European universities, high-quality interactive educational contents will be shared for distance learning, in the form of lessons, exercises and simulations. 

• The target audience will be electronics and telecommunications students (for example, university, school, in-class or distance), company personnel undergoing training (e.g. engineers and technicians) and self-learners.
•  Ultimately, the contents will cover the following telecommunications areas in particular: 
• information transport networks, protocols, 
• telephony, cellular networks, simulation methods, 
• antennae, 
• microwaves, 
• reception, coding and decoding algorithms
• computer programming in Java, synchronization 
• electromagnetism 
• modulations, 
• digital signals, 
• signal and image processing, 
• electronics, circuit design, 
• etc.
• Given the number of distance-learning programs already available in the community and the relative loss of interest of learners in this type of learning, the partners in the INVOCOM project are trying to produce genuinely interactive high-quality contents including demonstrations, simulations and exercises, to guarantee capacities relative to learning objectives for the learner. 
• Ultimately (end 2005) the contents will be available in English by default, but will be well suited to internationalization . They will be accessible both via the Internet and on physical media (e.g. CD-Rom)
