ProLearn (Professional Learning)

ProLearn is a network of excellence funded by the European Commission's IST program, active in the field of ICTT: Information and Communication Technologies for Teaching, and, more specifically in the case ProLearn, for professional learning.
Assignment
ProLearn's assignment is to bring together as many researchers as possible in the field of ICT for teaching and learning and to encourage them to work with industrial players to bridge the gap between university teaching and in-company life-long learning programs.
ProLearn needs to focus on the topical issues in Europe, particularly for an effective integration of research efforts. To achieve this, ProLearn must develop cooperation between the various academic and industrial players in the field. In this way, a multinational network is gradually taking shape.
Working groups
ProLearn is hinged around 6 working groups and a Virtual Skills Center, along with an Academic group aimed at implementing distance-learning programs.

Involvement
TELECOM & Management SudParis is involved in this network of excellence, which was launched at the start of 2004; its teaching staff are involved in most of the working groups (workpackages) and TELECOM & Management SudParis is responsible for leading group 9 (Academy).
