Using Information and Communication Technologies for Education

Research on the general theme of  "Using Information and Communication Technologies for Education"  has two objectives:

  • to supply theoretical "models"
  • and develop evaluation-based recommendations.

It covers three themes:


The student's learning using Information Technologies

The activities proposed in this research field focus on Institut TELECOM's pedagogical hypermedia collection: the COLLECTION in questions.

  • Cognitive multimedia integration (cognitive psychology, ergonomics). 
  • Cognitive hypermedia integration (and especially "knowledge maps") (cognitive psychology and didactics). 
  • Collaborative learning using Information Technologies (simulators, etc.) (cognitive psychology and psycho-sociology).

 

The evolution of teaching practices using Information Technologies

  • The evolution of pedagogical relations in new systems (educational sciences, psycho-sociology, techno-pedagogy). 
  • The impact of teacher training on the evolution of pedagogical relations (educational sciences, psycho-sociology). 
  • Cooperation of teachers and the evolution of teaching practices (educational sciences, psycho-sociology).

 

Systems engineering of pedagogical innovation using Information Technologies

  • The pedagogical design and use of new training systems employing Information Technologies (educational sciences, psycho-sociology). 
  • Pedagogical innovation processes in new training systems employing Information Technologies. 
  • Pedagogical innovation and methodological innovation (psycho-sociology, educational sciences, epistemology).
  • Learning communities in pedagogical innovation processes using Information Technologies (educational sciences, psycho-sociology, sociology).
